The problem with articles like this is that while they do represent a real problem, they are also used as ammunition against telecommuting. But, as the first comment pointed out, companies have not leveraged the cheap and widely available realm of desktop-based video conferencing. Even if it isn’t like t.v. or what the entertainment industry forsees in the future. Just being able to see the person, would like matter.
