BT transforms phone network
This has far reaching implications. I think the major telcos of the world will be watching BT and seeing how successful the endeavour is. I hope that Canada could soon take that kind of leadership. But with our multi-company system, this kind of wholesale network rebuild is sadly unlikely.
BT will be one of the first telcos in the world to trial an internet protocol network, making broadband ubiquitous in the UK.
